How to sell with Gooten without split-shipping surprises

Gooten can support a broad catalog, but its multi-vendor network makes product routing and split shipments part of the job.

How Gooten works

Handwritten flow showing one cart routed to vendors and multiple parcels
A broad network can turn one checkout into several production and shipping paths.

Gooten routes products through a network of manufacturers. Your store sets the retail price and takes the customer's payment. Gooten then charges the product and shipping costs when the order starts production.

The account has no membership fee. Gooten bills in US dollars, so merchants selling in another currency should budget for exchange-rate swings.

Why one cart can become two deliveries

  1. 1

    Buyer places one order

The storefront presents one cart and one checkout.

  2. 2

    Gooten routes each item

Different products may go to different manufacturers.

  3. 3

    Vendors ship separately

The buyer can receive several parcels and tracking links.

A multi-vendor network can split products, tracking, shipping costs, and arrival dates.

Set up a Gooten product

  1. 1

    Choose the connection

Use a built-in Shopify, Etsy, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce connection, the API, or an Order Desk workflow.

  2. 2

    Freeze the product and destination

Record the exact SKU, variants, manufacturer route where visible, buyer country, and production requirements.

  3. 3

    Upload the print file

Follow the product-specific file template and preview all enabled variants. Network breadth does not make a low-resolution file printable.

  4. 4

    Calculate the complete order

Use product, print, shipping, store fees, tax, currency conversion, split-shipment risk, and replacement reserve.

  5. 5

    Publish a focused listing

Keep the initial variants narrow. Check mockups, shipping language, production-partner disclosure, and the public checkout.

  6. 6

    Watch the first orders

Confirm manual review, address import, charge, production status, vendor routing, tracking, and parcel count.

Plan for production and split shipping

Most Gooten products are typically produced in the United States. A smaller group of wall art, home, and print products can use international production. Check the specific product rather than describing the entire network as locally produced.

A mixed cart can use different vendors. That may create separate parcels, tracking numbers, arrival dates, and shipping costs. Show that possibility before a customer thinks part of the order is missing.

  • Test a single-SKU order first
  • Then test the product combination you expect buyers to bundle
  • Check how tracking appears in the store
  • Write support replies for partial deliveries

Returns and changes after production starts

Production-stage cancellations and changes are not guaranteed. Routine buyer-remorse returns are generally unsupported by the supplier, while qualifying production problems can be submitted for a reprint or refund under the current policy.

Gooten's current support window is expressed in weeks, not an unlimited warranty. Ask the buyer for clear photos and the order details immediately.

What to test in a Gooten sample

  • Exact product, variant, print method, and destination
  • Charged product and shipping amount in USD
  • Production time plus carrier time
  • Print, material, placement, finish, and packaging
  • Tracking sync and customer-facing messages
  • A mixed-vendor cart if bundles matter to the store

Gooten becomes more compelling when the catalog and operations save real work. If the first product is the only product you need, compare a simpler supplier too.

Choose Gooten when the catalog earns the complexity

Gooten is a sensible shortlist choice when:

  • You need several product categories from one operational layer
  • You are prepared to test SKU and vendor-level differences
  • Split shipping can be explained and supported
  • Your main buyer routes work with the actual production footprint

Choose a simpler option when:

  • You are launching one common shirt, mug, or poster
  • One consistent parcel is central to the offer
  • You need a beginner-led product design flow

How do I get paid when using Gooten?

Your store or marketplace collects the customer's payment. Gooten separately charges you for fulfillment in US dollars.

Does Gooten integrate with Etsy and Shopify?

Yes. Gooten supports Shopify, Etsy, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce with limited support, BigCommerce, its API, and additional channels through Order Desk.

Why is my first Gooten order delayed?

Gooten manually reviews the first few orders for new partners. Its current target is within 24 business hours, so allow extra time during launch.
